Hazardous Materials Advisor Refresher (HMAR)

Course Overview

The Hazardous Materials Advisor Refresher is recommended to all HMAs every 3 years.

The course is structured in a way to maximize learning opportunities through student engagement, group discussions, scenarios and practical demonstrations.

Some of the modules covered include – hazard categorisation, risk assessment, Emergency Response Guidebook and how to apply the information to a scene, field chemistry techniques, exposure vs contamination, gas monitoring options and many more.

Duration

The duration is 5 days.

Accreditation

The Hazardous Materials Advisor Refresher training course is accredited by the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE); The only regulated Awarding Organisation in the UK that specialises entirely in the fire sector.
